California dreaming
carschti, 16:11h
I found some pictures from the bay area on my computer . I didn´t know that I brought them to Japan. Fair enough, but now I really really want to take my bike and go on ride along the coast or take the board and go surfing in the half moon bay.
It´s strange. Still in Japan, I´m really looking forward to go home now, but I still want to go somewhere else. It must be a travel gene. If someone would offer me a ticket to California after spending two weeks at home, I think I would not deny.
I´m a bad husband and father....

Take wife and kid...
...and have dinner with herzbruch at Barbara's Fish Trap in Half Moon Bay. The fish and chips are very good!

So..
I guess that here I am the expert for a change... what is your favourite spot in the Bay Area, then?

favourite spot?
Difficult question, but most of the time I spent in the area between Canada road and kings mountain road. So I guess this was my favourite spot. But also Coyote point itself was not too bad.
The best bread I had in Pescadero. Also the best ocean view.
The best spot for enjoying myself was the bay path along Belmont and Foster city up to Coyote point.
So what´s yours?

That asks for some serious thinking
but:
North of SF: Jenner, close to where the Russian River hits the Pacific.
South of SF: Gilroy Outlets (kidding, I'm a girl). Walking "the dish" near Stanford. And there's a little State Park near Big Sur...
In SF: Dolores Park (I used to live there), Papalote taqueria, and of course the Fluevog shoe shop. I was btw one of the crazy people at critical mass!

four months in the bay area
but I missed Jenner. I just had a look at google earth. Looks really great. Maybe next time.
Big sur, for sure, but is it still bay area? ;-) However, before going there next time I will ask for advice.
CM too? ==> ;-)

Me: June 2006, if I remember correctly. I hope you're not the one who bumped into me!
This is so fun. Two Germans that meet here and share two really far away places.

Is there one?
If they are really reading they will laugh so hard. I think if I´m lucky there are still 3 readers. One from Japan and two from the bay area.

then it might have been not only 2 far away places.
You know Bad Oeynhausen for sure I guess, Right? But don´t ask me for a favourite spot there...

War nur eine Vermutung, denn durch BadOey kommt man ja fast zwangsläufig, wenn man Richtung Holland will.

The best bread..
Pescadero? You should visit Tartine the next time you're in SF. 18th and Guerrero. And try the bread pudding...
